How to create 3D spherical surface image and video with Pony Fulldome?

Here is the guide tell you how to make 3D spherical surface image and video, with Pony Fulldome, you can easily change width, height, quality, size, frame rate, duration, field of view, hyper dome degree from -180 to +180, etc of the output image and video.

Step 1: Install Pony Fulldome and run it. Download and install it now!

Step 2: Switch to the Pano2Dome tab in the software, then select a input image by clicking the “Open image” button,

Step 3: Adjust the output setting:

Width: The width of output image/video/frame
Height: The height of output image/video/frame
Duration: When output as video, the duration means the time (length) of the video;
When output as frame, the output quality frame=duration*frame rate, for example, if you set duration to 30, and frame rate to 20, the output quality of frame is 600;
Horizontal and Vertical: These two settings could be preview immediately in the preview window

For more, if you output as video, you could also go to the advanced setting by clicking the menu “Fulldome”->”Setting”->”Video”

Step 4: Select destination to save the output image/video/frame by clicking the “save to” button, the full dome image could be selected to save as BMP, Jpg, Tga, Png formats, the video could be selected to save as Mov or Avi video format.

Step 5: Click “begin” button to start the full dome making. When the converting is finished, you will see a windows as below.
